• ACCE & EACCI Execs Meet To Discuss Joint Cooperation Opportunities

    July 30, 2015

AmCham Estonia (American Chamber of Commerce Estonia) Executive Director Daria Sivovol and EACCI President Krista Altok Tassa met last month in Tallinn, Estonia to discuss potential cooperation opportunities between the two organizations.

AmCham Estonia was established in 1996 to facilitate trade between Estonia and the U.S., to increase U.S. investment in Estonia, and develop relationships with suitable business partners locally and internationally.

Given the similar goals of both the EACCI and AmCham, and the synergies between the two organizations, we hope to develop stronger ties with AmCham Estonia, and offer our members further support in their efforts to access the Estonian and broader Baltic market.

EACCI & Consulate  General of Estonia Join in World Trade Week 10-Year Celebration

EstoFoods Makes its Formal Debut at Kick-Off Buffet

The EACCI was among the 40 sponsoring organizations to host the 10th anniversary celebration of World Trade Day at Baruch College’s Weissman Center for International Business on Monday, May 11.

The group has been working together to underscore the importance of international trade, logistics and port operations on the region’s economy and to use their collective expertise to help the region’s businesses grow through export and import.

Every year, the President of the United States declares the third full week of May as World Trade Week. Trade organizations, businesses and other stakeholders come together both nationally and locally to promote and facilitate international trade in the U.S. economy. The New York tri-state region’s trade and transportation community celebrates World Trade Week throughout the month of May, offering a full agenda of educational seminars, and global business networking events.

Some 250 participants joined in the World Trade Week opening event, an International Trade Awards Breakfast recognizing the exemplary achievements by practitioners in the field.  The highlight of the buffet breakfast was chocolate dark rye bread (among other Estonian breads) donated by EACCI member, EstoFoods, which recently started importing Estonian breads and chocolates to the U.S.  In addition, on a first-come, first-served basis, participants were able to take home additional goodies (bread, marizipan and chocolate) courtesy of EstoFoods.

Joining in the 10th anniversary celebration were Chamber members Eva-Maria Liimets, Consul General of Estonia in New York; Eve Saar, U.S. Sales Director, EstoFoods; Arho Anttila, Vice President, BBIN, and Krista Altok Tassa, President, EACCI.
